Petry isn't good defensively and looks like (Habs fans, at least) overrate him. CAR isn't even sure to make playoffs so Bean+1st is enough.

If only for 5th/6th, should keep Edmundson and TVR for depth (+cap space so)

I Hate to be "That guy" but multiple reports already have CAR offering Bean + 1st for Petry, If CAR wants to make a trade for a Top 4 Dman they need to cap dump someone. Only player on that list is either TVR/Edmundson CAR is to close to the cap in order to acquire ANYTHING without dumping someone. You currently have 1m in cap space before any trade is made. DAL trade is more of a "Idea" then a specific team

They actually have $5.5M in deadline space. They can acquire a player outright without dumping anybody.

They have "5.5m" atm because Hamilton is in LTIR. You need to have space for him when he returns in the lineup. Only way to get around that is the "Kane Loophole" which he would have to be not able to return before April 8th (first day of playoffs)

Move Hamilton to LTIR genius, then we have 6 mil, and no need to dump. Carolina have offered nothing, the rumour is Carolina want Petry, Montreal want Bean Carolina would rather move the 1st rounder.

You cant keep Hamilton on LTIR the entire season lmfao. Hamilton broke his leg in Mid-Late Jan. Timelines are 6-8 weeks bringing him back in Mid/Late March thus putting the canes 5.5m over the cap. Math is hard i know....

And i hate to tell you but according a someone with ACTUAL inside knowledge and not just a fan being upset in a tweet he posted today as well he believes that offer has already been made by CAR
