Columbus has no need for a LHD.... I’m guessing that trade is to anyone, it’s just Columbus can’t afford him next year and really has no need for another LHD.

Murray is close to coming back and Kukan should be healthy soon too. He’d be a help, if we could also afford his contract next season, it’s just with the amount of RFAs we are about to have, the 4 mil on the cap won’t be very kind.

It's time to park the rhetoric and consider facts. Pujujarvi didn't light the NHL on fire during his time in Edmonton, but he is 21 years-old, is an elite-level skater and shooter, is 6'4" and listed at 232, and possesses all the attributes necessary to be a high-quality NHL power forward. He is the most heavily scouted player in the SM-Liiga, and one of the highest ranked players outside of the NHL. He may never be the star player he was projected to be in 2016, but he is a good player.

Then why hasnt he moved? Clearly teams are not interested in what EDM is selling him as. He is never going to light up the NHL. I doubt he ever fits higher than a third line

Edit: He hasn’t moved because he’s going to be worth far more at the draft when teams can actually play him for next year.

There it is. A GM can set whatever price they want for a particular player, that doesn't mean another GM will pay that price. And with respect to setting the market, I think what is really set is expectation; each trade is determined by the respective needs of the teams involved and relative value of assets going back and forth. Coleman's trade may have little bearing on the value of Lablanc because while San Jose is just terrible, like New Jersey, there are very few teams in a position similar to Tampa... Perhaps Boston, Pittsburgh, and Washington.

Awesome to hear, but we don’t need to move Labanc. So you need to make a worthwhile offer or we have no reason to move him. You need to give to get

Yup, and for a deal to occur both sides need to be reasonable. In this situation, if you are the GM, there does not appear to be a reasonable deal to be had. We both move on.
