1.) Robin Lehner would like a word with you.
2.) I'm not saying that Mrazek isn't bad, he certainly is. Crow is a small upgrade, but not enough to pay a 2nd round pick, let's all be real here. Reimer isn't a proven starter by any means, but neither is Bernier. Bernier has been a pretty mediocre starter/back up for most of his career but you hold him to a much higher standard than Reimer when they're fairly similar. Realistically, the Canes say no to dealing for a goalie at the TDL and ride Reimer for the rest of the season. Then they'll approach their goaltending problem in the offseason, whether that means trading for DeSmith, Georgiev or whomever else may be available.
1.)...yeah 28 games vs 30 games is splitting time. Lehner has been better than Crow. No one's arguing that, but Crows been outstanding.
2.) I'm saying There needs to be a look into the entire body of work. CAR fans like
@Caniac2000 like to bring up the high danger chances allowed. CAR is the 13th best team in the league when it comes to High Danger Chances allowed. Source here.
https://www.hockey-reference.com/leagues/NHL_2020.html No one said that's the league best. They're 2nd best in the entire NHL in shots allowed. You know who is 3rd and 4th worst in high danger chances? CHI and DET. Additionally, CHI is literaly last place in scoring chances allowed and DET 6th. SO It's EXTREMELY obvious, Bernier and the Crow/Lehner combo are putting up good seasons. If the defenses in front of him can't stop anything, but the goal position is playing well...they're playing REALLY well. CAR can't say this. Even for Reimer.
