I don't think CBJ will trade their 1st two years in a row. Wennberg and a 2nd is probably more reasonable.

From an Ottawa side I get some of these.
But why would Ottawa trade a 25 year old Tierney who they have control over.
I don't think that makes a lot of sense for the team.
Tierney isn't great but he's not a bad player and he's a guy who would help this team as it grows.

Huge pass on Wenneberg. Sens have centres and there's no need to add that kind of money for a player as unremarkable as he is.

If Ottawa trades Pageau, I think they keep Tierney, at least until the summer.

Sens have young centres who should be NHL regulars next year, but it's difficult to go into the season with so little experience down the middle. If Pager and Tierney are both gone, that leaves the Sens with one full time C with over 200 GP. Arty is a solid player, but he's a 4C, and going with Brown, Norris and White as the top 9 pivots seems like a bad idea, especially given White's struggles.

I think they take Tierney to Arbitration on a 1 year deal. Gives the young centres a little more support, and it leaves the option to trade him next year as a rental if they feel they can trust the new guard.

I always expect a 1st for a UFA 3C (on aNY normal non borderline AHL roster)
