Manson can be had, would likely need a third team involved as ANA would want/need a better younger more offensive RHD to replace Manson - why not ship Kap to Buffalo for Risto and flip Risto for Manson?

I mean ya...for sure. Could also make the trade larger to include other players from TO and ANA.

I think TO loses that trade unless something else comes back. Manson is the worst asset there, it's close but I feel TO need a little something else coming back. Maybe a 2nd or 3rd rounder.

Ya? You like Ceci more than Manson (how)? Keep in mind Toronto is not only looking to add a viable RD, but they are trying to ditch Ceci's salary, which has a price.

That's fan and media based crap, trying to ditch Ceci I don't think so, if they were to bring in a viable legit top 4 RHD then yes for cap purposes they would want to move out Ceci any non playoff team with space will take Ceci for a small sweetener like a 4th and then also flip him with retention for a 4th. His salary is paid so out of pocket it's like 300,000 he's owed in actual money the cap hit is kinda meaningless at this point in the season

It would probably take at least Kapanen, SDA (or Bracco) and a 2nd round pick in next year's draft to make this happen. If Ceci is throw in, that'd just be cap flexibility.

Interesting, but Kap & SDA/Bracco and a 2nd is a lot. If you look at the Muzzin trade, the haul was a 1st, Grundstrum (below a fringe player in the TML org) and Durzi (a drafted, unsigned OHLer). I think you have to look at Kap cancelling out the 1st because he is a legit top 9 winger (very dynamic) score 20 goals and kill penalties. There are two reasons for including Ceci and not prospects:
1. Cap space - they have none and they will be in more trouble when Reilly comes off of IR - ditching Ceci helps that cap #
2. Not hurting the prospect pool - a number of their higher end prospects have cracked the big team in the last two years so their riches are drying up (there are still a few) so trading away young players is something they have said they with to avoid.
