I like Benning as a 3rd pairing dman. So once ellis is back that works out. The 2nd is nice and Granlund isn't doing much for us in Nashville. I'm ok with this from Nashville's perspective.

out of all the Granlund trades I see on this site, at least this one gives NSH something that they could use. Not bad. Not sure they would want Khaira included though - but at least have the basis of a deal to work on here

I'd rather take Benning and 1st rounder and retain 1/2 salary on Granlund. That might be asking too much though.. Just not sure where Khaira really fits on the team and into the future when there are AHL that contribute more than him probably. Still better than most deals I'v seen for Granlund though.

What about sam gagner instead of khaira?

either one would be a sent to the AHL with minimal cap implications.
