Description

As the ranger move forward in their build they look for prospects over picks. Since the pipeline in defense is stronger you focus on late first round picks of other teams. Get enough of these type guys and someone sticks. I think they'd target the kind of guy who can become a power forward front of net presence vs a speed/skill guy abut thats just a guess. and the 1mm the ranger send would be the same charge as if they buried him instead, but would save 1 mm in salary. making the next cost the same but each team benefits from the cap savings/expense charges.

You're probably right, but i looked for places where ott had asset depth and they have plenty of 2nd round picks and especially after this years drafts probably forward depth as thats the strength of the top ten where they might have 2 picks. And Georgiev should solve their goalie issues cheaply for a while.

As a Rangers fan I'd be very happy with Norris straight up for Georgiev. But if there's a bidding war, maybe OTT also offers a 2nd round pick as well.

Probably wont Get that much for Geogiev. Maybe if a bidding war Starts you could get Norris and a lower pick.
Is the priority for the rangers to acquire Center prospects?

No chance sens are giving up Norris. If they were trying to win he'd be in the NHL now. Not sure they are even that interested in trading for Georgiev

Just going by what friedman said (nhl ready middle/top 6 forward) and what was on NHLtraderumors(sjs/tor/OTT intesrest). I tend to agree that the pick in the Ottawa deal might be too much but i figured it was going to be in the late 50's.
