Description
Just some late night stuff. Everyone will hate it. Ducks win the lottery. BUF gets a 2C and ANA gets a RD plus a 3LW for a guy that’s seemed to plateau is his development to make up Henrique’s contract (it’s really not that bad but some think it is). If NSH misses the playoffs I wouldn’t be surprised to see Forsberg or Johansen moved. More likely to be Johansen and yes I know quality over quantity but whatever lol. Idk Guarinov’s value. Don’t think it’s too high as he’s just been solid but he seems to kill the ducks so why not add him and a younger RD.

This team would either be pretty good or pretty bad based on the Cs and their youth.

Everyone can hate the team but I like it.

I only traded Manson for that as one of him or Rosto would be unprotected in the expansion draft and because I didn’t want to pkg him with Kase (I like Kase too much) to make a bigger deal for another scorer. I had him in the Forsberg trade to start but NSH is fine at RD with Ellis and Fabbro. It was a last minute trade.

In reality if there was a deal around Manson and Kase for an Ehlers type I wouldn’t be opposed to it.

I get it. I offered a goal scorer top-6 winger for Manson without need of getting rid of Kase. I doubt that Jets will trade Ehlers or any other team that type of player. Johnsson might slot in right next to Getzlaf and rakell tbh. That would be very cool line!

Ritchie had a breakout year this year, he was really good, he was a legit top 6 forward, and on a great deal, and still young, and I've seen a lot of trades that send Rico and like a late pick for Risto, he fills the Sabres biggest need, and Risto kind of fills ANA's... I'd prefer a RHD that's competent defensively to mentor the kids, but Risto fills a positional need, Rico is still fine as a 2C, especially if we retain to get the contract under 5 mil, it's really not bad at all

No he wasn’t a top 6 fwd. he was good this year but like Kase he was just a metrics darling not an actual producer. You mention mentoring the kids but the ducks don’t have any kids on the back end to mentor.

Guhle Mahura and Larson aren't kids...? They're all in their first full year other than maybe Larson, and I know for a fact Ritchie played 1RW bc in the beginning of the year I was pissed he was getting more time than the kids

Not really. They’ll be 22-23 next season. They’re at the make it or break it point. Kinda past the point of mentoring. As for Ritchie, yes he played with Getzlaf but he’s not a top 6 guy on a contender.
