Malkin have miss 13 game, bjugstad have miss 29, crosby 22, letang 8 game, hornqvist 17 game, rust 14 game, justin shultz 12 games and dumoulin 16 games . Plus other players who miss a few games like McCan and galchenyuk and the latest guentzel who likely is done for the years. That by far the worst in the nhl.

For a eight game spend in early season they where without malkin, bjugstad, rust, mcCaan, hornqvist, Galchenyuk and shultz that two line up front a a solid defenseman

Columbus is basically an AHL team..... missing Korpisalo, Atkinson, Anderson, Bjorkstand, Murray, Nuttivaara, Milano, Peeke, Dubinsky, Bremstrom, and possibly Texier now... yes Pittsburgh was missing players but not 11 NHL players from the opening day roster. If you take Werenski, Jones, Savard, PLD, Nyqvist and Folingo you’d have an AHL team skating in the NHL...

That is one game and a lots of those players are day too day Pittsburgh play for 8 games without 6 forward of the top 9 and 1 top defenseman that a lot worst. You havent miss a top players yet. When it be 5 or 6 game that youll play without all these guy we will start to compare but for now Pittsburgh have miss more time to significant players. Columbus haven’t miss a guh like dubois or warenski or jones yet

Korpisalo is the number one goalie and until tonight only goalie on the jackets with a win, Atkinson had 40 goals last year, Bjorkstrand was tied for the team lead in goals when he went out... I think that is the same as missing some top players.. plus missing half your d core... and all of this at the same time. Plus missing the normal guys who’d fill in for them.

Pittsburgh played maybe 3 games without Crosby and Malkin and just lost Guentzel... Malkin is back and Crosby is back skating. The only player from Columbus who’s even skating is Nuttivaara, and that’s an every other day thing due to him being in concussion protocol....

Pittsburg still has Jarry, Letang, and one of Crosby, Malkin or Guntzal in the line up at all times. As a team Columbus isn’t as loaded at Pittsburgh is even with all the injuries they’ve had... having one of Crosby, Malkin or Guntzal in the line up is still better then any forawd Columbus has...

You have been with dubois , jones and warenski all those game so stop acting like its a big things . Pittsburgh have had injuries too keys players on defense and offense . You miss the 5-6 defenseman none of savard werenski or jones is out . Your offense is pretty bang up but nothing too serious no one will niss significant time

Even the last place finisher only has an 18% of winning the lottery. And even if the Habs with injuries won't be passed by other teams who can't win games.
I would feel sorry for Lafreniere if he was selected by Habs. Somehow there is conception that this young Franco is the saviour of the franchise. Hate to see his career ruined by such high expectations.
