I think steve adds atleast a decent dman to this group to help. A guy like edmunson or kevin millar in boston could make an impact and help these young guys. millar would be prefect to baby sit cholo having done it a bunch with krug in boston.

I think Ras has as good a chance as anyone to be our 2nd line center one day. He had a decent rookie season playing 3rd line on a bad detroit team in a position he never played. Now hes over a PPG in the AHL, doing much better than Veleno (although I really like Veleno, dont get me wrong). Veleno got 100 points in juniors in his +1 (4th year junior) and excited in training camp and now everyone just assumes hes won 2C eventually. I think it's much closer than we think. Ras also had a very very solid preseason/camp, whereas Veleno didnt really do anything in preseason. Also depends on if we draft a center this year, because if we do whoever it is (byfield, stutzle) would become our best prospect and easily take 2C, and hopefully challenge Larkin for 1C one day. THEN maybe one of Ras or Veleno become expendable, maybe maybe maybe.

Personally I'm holding out that Ras can develop into a Mantha sort of player. Can you imagine Lafreniere-Larkin-Zadina
