I think TO would be better off promoting Liljegren than to give him away for nothing.

Columbus accepts. Would probably ask for a 2nd but would settle for the 3rd.

Of course Columbus accepts that they'd be stupid not to.

Columbus barely accepts this. Johansson is nothing more then a middle 6 wing. The only thing about it is the fact that’s we’re getting a LW for a RW. And we get our own pick back.....

There's also the whole 1goal and 3assists in 24 games compared to 6goals and 10assists in 30 games thing but don't let that stop you from consistently overvaluing your players that's what happens when you make decisions based on emotions. If Johnsson is a middle six winger than what the hell is Anderson?

You clearly haven’t watched Anderson play... you put him on Matthews Line and he would have the same amount of points and he just as effective as Johnson. Look at his stats last year. And he brings a physical element leafs need...

I've seen plenty of Anderson and know exactly what he brings. Clearly you haven't watched Johnsson play because he brings the same elements only with more offence and way better speed, he's just smaller and not as strong. Anderson may very well have the same points playing with Matthews but it would be because of Matthews whereas Johnsson can drive play himself.

I would love to have Anderson on the Leafs but not at this price, and do you know what those numbers mean? They mean Anderson has played below league average this season meaning you should be able to bring someone up from your minor league team and except better production. It also means right now his value is closer to Ceci than Johnsson let alone adding a pick. This trade is a joke and there's really no other way to put it. It's great and all to have size and toughness but if you can't produce on your own then you become a liability.

At the end of the day they're both middle six wingers who can play up your lineup but Anderson has under-produced all season and they both bring the same element to the game just in slightly different fashions.

I know he was good last year but his stock has dropped considerably this year or to put it another way we aren't paying for what he did last year or what he COULD do beside AM we are paying for what he is now, and this is coming from someone whose wanted to see him donning blue and white for 3 years now. But I do agree the leafs could use his physicality.

Honestly, Ceci but they wouldn't accept that because they have no need for a 4th RHD especially @ $4.5mill plus the fact that he's a FA and they would want more value in return, which is why he won't be moved unless it's part of a bigger trade.

CBJ hanging on to him is the right thing to do ATM because when in a rebuild it's generally not a good idea to sell low on players unless circumstances dictate otherwise. Also, he's better suited for the RW and we have enough depth there already unless we move one out it doesn't make sense to trade a valuable player from a weaker position to add a player to a position that's already a strength.

Miller ain't waiving to come here his wife is an actress and he's stated for years he wants to be as close to Hollywood as possible, or to put it another way he has a pretty good gig where he's at right now and doesn't want to mess with things plus it's an underpay so Anaheim wouldn't consider it in the first place.

And in the L.A. deal we can't afford to lose Lilly's elc for the next 3 years and he's exempt from the expansion draft so... it's a good idea to keep him especially with the chemistry he and Sandin already have unless it's a Seth Jones/Dumba type of d-man coming back.

No one wants Ceci... you would actually need to attach a pick or player with him to even move him. CBJ would want a decently young player on a deal with a solid cap hit for Anderson.. Leafs need a guy who can play a hard style when needed.

Also yes the LA trade is an overpay... if CBJ would do Anderson/Savard In some sort of package w/Johnson ceci+ then why not

No you don't... you just need to retain %50 of his contract, it's not like he has term and he hasn't been as bad as you're making him out to be, he'just overpayed. Why would we trade a good young player with a solid cap hit when that's not what we'd be receiving in return? I do comment you for looking at the other teams wants and needs tho...not to many people on here do that.
