Keefe is the only option. There isn't another NHL-ready (or available) coach in any other major league. He's worked with a lot of the guys currently on this roster, and the sole justification to a coaching change right now would be to get the players re-invested in playing for this team. Babcock's lost the room, and the only way to right the course is to bring Keefe in.

It's not like the Marlies would suffer much either; they have a phenomenally strong roster for the AHL level and I doubt it would take Snowden much to step into an AHL role if Keefe's assistants couldn't hack it (or went to the NHL with him)

Letting go of a hall of fame coach always works out. Look at Barry Trotz..... both times he was he was let go. Caps didn’t fire him but they basically had no job available for him
