Description

I think if the hawks keep playing like this and they are in the playoffs then we keep Gus and try to acquire some middle six scoring. Maybe Pageau if his value drops or maybe Kyle Palmieri if the devils are willing to sell for a decent price.

Move Kubalik into the top 6 as he is a good two forward with a good forecheck and brings offensive upsides. I know Nylander had two goals last night and that may be the spark he needed but for now he played better in the bottom six. (I wish we had Joki but Nylander will do for now)

Other than that I think Phillip Holm deserves a shot in the NHL for a couple of games (Ahl stats are 15gp 3g 7a +/- of 5) since he has two way deal there is no waivers for him to clear. McCoshen has also played nice so a chance for him couldn't hurt. Any way go Hawks and lets try to get a win tonight and hope the offense can find long term sustainability.

Just a thought. I like the idea of pageau assuming his value isn’t too high. However, one of my buddies is a huge devils fan and he believes the devils are way too high palmieri to let go of him. I’m inclined to believe that because he is a very consistent bright spot on a very inconsistent team.

I heavily agree that holm deserves a chance with the hawks because he’s been a constant presence with the ice hogs. Also, I do wish we still has joker as well, but I do have to say that the run and gun offense is definitely benefitting him. It’s actually fun to watch the team again and everyone looks like they’re working hard.

Totally agree with everything and here's one other point.
Obviously Palmieri and Pageau are highly unlikely but there is Rocco Grimaldi of Nashville as an idea. He is great analytically and passes the eye test. Last night he was the only one on Nashville getting consistent looks. He is 26 with an expiring 1 mil contract. He could very well be a nice addition to the bottom six for some scoring or to the PP2. Look him up on Charting Hockey or Natural Stat Trick and lmk what you think.
