Totally true about Trochek, though he seems scrappy.
But his cap hit would be a problem next year.

Also Persson > Pysyk today and he will only improve. That deal alone is an overpay.

The Oilers DCorps along with the goaltending and Special Teams have been the difference-maker this season. Edm doesn't need another 6-7-8 Dman, this organization already has 6 of those already.

Puljujarvi is worth at least some other team's # 2-5 prospect & a 2nd rounder. Or a youngish 3rd liner with potential + a 5-7 rounder.

Sheahan has been awesome on the PK and was really good as the shutdown C vs NJ on Fri.

He is playing a bit over his head as the 3C against tough match-ups (70% DZone starts), so we don't expect to see much offense from him, but he is doing okay (just returned from concussion and looked as good as I've seen all year), although he does need his linemates to be better (Khaira and Archibald) as they haven't pulled their weight IMO.

Agree. IMO, Sheahan is a really capable third-line center. He's not the quickest but he can play physical and he's great defensively, a solid guy on the faceoff circle. I'm surprised he only took 900k. Great signing for EDM.
