Description
We have seen a lot of Crosby vs McDavid debates, but not a lot of Malkin vs Draisaitl. I'm curious to hear your opinion on who was better between Malkin (prime) and Draisaitl currently. Please comment below!

Malkin (for now) because of playoff success, the Draisaitl is playing like Malkin in his prime. Too early in the season to vote for Drai but then again I don,t doubt he'll slow down

IMO the argument is wrong. The debate should be Drai vs Sid, Malk vs McD. Drai is hardworking defensively responsible, and really has no weak parts of his game, like Crosby. McDavid, on the other hand, is pretty useless when he doesn't have the puck, can't take faceoffs, but whenever he has the puck hold onto your seat because something magical is going to happen, like Malkin.

Malkin's career will probably be better than Drai's but personally I'd go Drai > Malkin just because I believe Drai helps his team more than Malkin does. Malkin's crazy season where he exploded while Sid was injured, has always made me wonder what his career would've been like on a different team where he didn't always have to play second fiddle... that being said he probably wouldnt have the cups. Which is more important?

You don't hear anything about it because it's not a debate.

Dri is over there attached to McDavid. I'd say he's his winger but lets be honest, he's the one taking face offs.
Malkin has his own line and been very successful on it. Malkin made his own name away from Crosby. You can't really say that about Dri at this point. Off of McDavid's line he is a 70 point player.
That's not bad, but Malkin was a 100+ pt player off of Crosby's line.
Malkin carried inferior line mates and made them better. Dri has been unable to do that.

There is no debate to be had here.

I think we need to see Draisaitl take over a playoff series all by himself like Malkin did in 2009.

Yeah well I think McDavid is better than you think when he's away from the puck. He's good at using his speed to forecheck and intercept pucks which allows him to create opportunities up the ice very quickly.

Yeah, Malkin can play center on his own line. Helped Neal to a 40 goal season.

Those that watched the 2017 playoffs already have.

No where near Malkin's run in 2009. Even Malkin's 2017 playoff run was better than anything Draisaitl demonstrated in the post-season.

Draisaitl was 5-8-13 in 6 games vs Anaheim - that's taking over a playoff series if I've ever seen it.
