Doesn’t really help the habs at all. We don’t need Honka and already have 3 LHD better than Sekera. Montreal isn’t just giving Byron away for free.

They were ready to trade Zucker to Calgary for Frolik and a first. Byron is worth more than Frolik but I doubt Bergy would offer a 1st round pick.

Byron and Ikonen for Zucker sounds fair to me. A young 20 y.o. center would be appealing for MIN. A second round prospect with potential would be more acceptable than a first round pick for MTL.

That was a different GM for MN. That GM was awful at trades. Hoping the new guy is better. Bryon doesn't fit with MN's LW heavy roster.

IDK. Montreal would be trading a sure top 9 forward for someone who could be a top 9 forward in the NHL.
