There is not a team in the league who would pick Marner at 10+mil over Jones at 5.4. It's not even close

Columbus doesn't make that deal without signed Marner. And how could Columbus sign Marner for a contract much different than what the Leafs are offering? Don't think Leaf do either. Three years of Jones for at least four yearsof controllable Marner and at least six years of Liljegren, isn't good for Leafs.

My rising of Marner hate is clouding everything

The fan base is really turning on marner. Hopefully it gets reeled in like when nylander stepped on the ice for a standing O.
