I like the idea of trading Gudas now to make room for someone like Fehervary or Alex Alexeyev. Since Siegs can play the right side...why not...in fact why not move both Djoos AND Gudas. Make some Caps space and season up some younglings to be truly NHL worthy come the time you have to trade an Orlov or a Kempny.

Ahhhhhhh you hit the nail on the head....PERCEIVED VALUE. Both Gudas and DJoos should be 100% deemed cap sacrifices if necessary. Any 3rd pairing D, or fluff Forward (like Stevie) should be deemed cut, waive, or trade-able at any time. period.
