Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Situation: The Wild are sellers at the TDL and under new GM Bill Guerin the MN Wild undergo another retool after under performing for the second straight year.
- The last remaining RFA, Fiala, is signed to 2-year prove it deal
- Guerin elects to move on from Mikko Koivu (waives NMC), to allow younger players to have bigger roles, and trades him at the TDL
- Jared Spureon is not convinced to sign an extension and Guerin elects to trade him at the TDL

Goals:
- Trade for a RHD to replace Spurgeon or fill with depth
- Acquire prospects and picks

My guess is if Spurgeon doesn't extend, they'll want quality over quantity. He's a top pairing RHD who can play 25 minutes a night and is effective on the PP and PK, someone will give up a 1st for that. Look at what the return for Shattenkirk was.

Those conditional picks don't work in the Calgary trade. The 2020 draft (June 26th) is before the 2020 free agency period (July 1st), so if Calgary exits in the 1st round and Spurgeon re-signs with them after the draft (say June 28th for example), the Flames would owe a pick they already used. I don't like the trade anyways, a Spurgeon trade must be for quality and not quantity.
