I disagree. A 4 million 3rd line center that can also flex to wing is better than a 4 million 3rd line winger.
I’m not paying a 1st for a prospect that played fourth line minutes on a bad rangers team and would at best only make the 4th line on the pens and sucks at faceoffs, let alone adding a prospect. And Simon is much better than strome. Simon had relatively close to the same point production with a 2.4 million less cap hit and probably won’t command more than 1.5 million unless he absolutely goes off (which why would you want to trade him at all then). Simon is also MUCH better at driving offense and possession. Can play up and down the lineup on both sides. Thanks but no thanks.

As for the other trades...I think get rid of the picks on both sides and it’s fair.
I doubt Minnesota takes that deal straight up, let alone retaining on Pateryn. Only cause of the cap situation and having to sign Fiala.

I'm not even going to go into these trades, just one look at the roster tells it all.
You don't have 1 not 1 single right handed winger on the top three lines. That's a disaster in the making.
