I think Verhaeghe is a prime example of a player that will be an AHL scoring player but a 4th liner in the NHL. If Im Edmonton, buyer beware.
On average 9 out of top 10 leading scorers in the AHL are not good enough for the NHL. There's always the few players who simply get stuck behind a deep roster in the NHL and can't catch a break but in most average cases, its because the player isn't that good really. Verhaeghe strikes me and that player that isn't that good to be in the NHL regularly. Puljujarvi is an NHL player, just we're all expecting more from him based on his draft status.
