I can't see Winnipeg trading Laine and not getting a top 6 center back so they'll probably ask for Danault or Kotkaniemi instead of Drouin.

Danault instead of Drouin. Make sense for WPG less for MTL but I still do it

There is definite value in that deal. Is Drouin more of a winger than a C? Ive seen him play both but dont know where his skill set is best.

We tried Drouin at center 2 years ago when we were so bad. Didn’t worked

I wonder if the Jets think about moving Wheeler to C with all the wing depth they have. When Scheifle was hurt 2 years ago he was really good, but Maurice didnt go back to it at all last year

I think the issue is that Wheeler wasn't really good at center. People look at his stats and he was still putting up points on the PP but his line was getting dominated, they just managed to not get scored on. What did work really well during that stretch was Perreault Little Ehlers and that line kept the team afloat. IMO if we went back to that line we wouldn't need a 2nd line center.

4 lines you can just roll. Third line is offensively dangerous but probably needs sheltering as Roslovic transitions to C and we break in Vesalainen.

As for a trade with the Habs it would be Brooks instead of cyclops and Domi instead of Drouin and I'd prefer Montreal's 2020 1st unprotected over Suzuki.

Mtl wouldn’t do Domi for Laine one for one. Romanov Brook are not on the market
