I still think a one year "show me" deal makes the most sense, but maybe you're right and the market just isnt there for him. IMO he's holding out for a long term deal for north of 5 and maybe 4 years. ONe thing for sure is, if he does sign a 1 year deal for around 5 mill, some team will get a pretty damn good dman looking to prove himself

The 1st was payment or that buy out and for 100% bailing Toronto out of a VERY tough spot. The Penguin have options, Johnson is not going to be bought out, etc, etc, etc. Other than being a trade, the situations are not similar at all.
