That's great that you want to give the younger guys a shot, but this is the Olympics and you play to win. There is no way Jack Hughes in two seasons will be able skate with ten year NHL vets on Canada which run 4 lines deep. The Olympics, when the NHL participates, is a tournament of grown ass established men, and I can assure you that Kessel WILL be on the roster.

If anything it will be easier for him since it is Olympic sized ice. If he's everything they say he's gonna be he will have no problem making this team in 2 seasons. It's hard to say if a 33/34 year old kessel will still have a step like he does now to make the Olympic team. Thats a lot of ice for phil to cover

If Bergeron gets sent out, who’s beating him on a draw, and your kinda missing a grind line, some of those skill guys on bottom six maybe switched out for a little more physical or more speed depending on coach and ice surface. When USA beats Canada, it’s beaten at there own game, grit passion fire and one hot goalie, not sure if demko is right if Gibson fails

Who knows what Demko will be in 2 years? Based on potential, he could be there. I believe they carry 3 goalies anyways.

That whole grit and passion thing isn’t going to beat Canada. US has so much more skill then they had a few years ago. (And no ones beating Bergy on the draw anyways lol)

Touché, is demko going to win job in Vancouver, I would doubt the nhl is even going, but if so always a good battle.

McAvoy, Guentzel, Hellebuyck, Keller, and Brady Tkachuk all will likely be on the team and in the lineup in 2022. Maybe K’Andre Miller too (he fights for a spot).
