Given that he has one year left only, if NYR is at all willing to retain and/or Point is willing to take a low-AAV bridge, I wouldn't be surprised if BriseBois was interested. The cap is a major issue, but he's a big forward who can play in our top-six and score a lot (and the Rangers are frequent trading partners). There's a good chance there was no way to make the cap work, or that the Rangers aren't really interested in moving Kreider (or were, at least, looking for a return higher than what the Lightning would pay for what would have to be a one-year rental). But if BriseBois thinks there's a way, I wouldn't be surprised if he's discussed it. If we move Condon and Domingue elsewhere, we have $12m in cap, so if Point takes something just under the $8m range, the cap would work for this year, and then Kreider would become a UFA.
