Not on the Habs at least. Makes a good AHL player though.

Another year in the AHL.

If he continues to do what he did last year (before the injury), he will be one of the first call ups.

You never know, if he build off of last year, he might crack the 4th line

110 PIM in 69 NHL games.. He seems more of a fighter than a player.

That's not even bad. He stands up for his teammates, sure.

That’s the issue though, because of his size it’s so easy for him to fall into that role.

I’m curious though with the arrival of a lot of top notch prospects turning pro, if that’ll help his game. When McCarron was in his last year in the OHL, he was over a point per game but had high end linemates. Someone like Suzuki could really elevate his game, in a similar style to Ratcliffe in Guelph.

He played well last year before getting hurt again. Definitely a great AHL forward, and if he keeps it together a good 4th line callup option. I'd much rather him come up in that role than stick Suzuki/Poehling in that role with limited minutes.

I don't like the signing at all. On daily basis we will see Habs fans making McCarron trades on CapFriendly.

maybe but tbh they have so much 4th line depth already i don't see him beating out cousins or thompson or weal or byron even youngsters suzuki or poehling the chances that he plays are low and the chances that he will be part of our team when we contend are even lower

You never know. Suzuki will start in Laval and I don't see Poehling playing the 4th line. He can play Center or Wing so it helps him a bunch.
