Description

Marner is not going to sign for less than $10.5 on a short term deal. He can get Toronto to match as they would either be letting him walk for the 2 1sts a 2nd and a 3rd as compensation, vs the 4 1sts which they would not match. At least this way they can get a long term deal done later on before he goes to free agency or take the compensation then when maybe they are ready to let him walk. I agree they should not match at 4 1sts, but do you let him walk for the 2 1sts a 2nd and a 3rd? I don't see it.

So what would you do if it was NYI offer sheeting Marner for 10.5 x 3? Would you take the 2 1sts and a 2 and 3? Those picks likely to be in the 17 - 20 range of the round?
