As a NYR fan I also agree "the poster" is being greedy. What do you personally believe NASH would trade to acquire Kreider? Feel free to substitute a #1 draft pick instead of Tolvanen.

I think a 1st and a conditional 4th is fair, 4th turns into a 3rd if Kreider resigns with Nashville.
He's a one year rental at this point, nothing more.

Their best prospect, 2nd and a 3rd for Kreider. It's defiantly better for NYR. Nashville isn't really in that have to win now mode they were 21st youngest team. To get a return like that for Kreider (who is 28 and still has some good years left but most forwards peek at 27-28yrs old) Nashville would have to be so focused on winning that the future doesn't matter and Nashville isn't there yet. Now PIT, SJS and Chicago would be in that win now mode. Chicago passed on some really players in the draft to get take Dach who was one of the most NHL ready players in the draft and will most likely start the season in Chicago.

You also have to take into account the moment you signed Trouba and went over the cap all of the players you are trying to trade lost value.

Might be less because hayes is a center so is worth more by default

NYR still has a good amount of talent in Hartford, so you let a player or 2 go for less than they are worth. It's not going to affect that much.

But Kreider is a better wing than Hayes is a center, but I agree Centers are worth more in trade then wingers.

I would give a 1st and a 3rd for krieder but the preds couldnt fit him in their cap. If we could dump salary or also give up a b prospect for salary retained
