Severson can't be that good. Liljegren is a top-4 D maybe even next year, and I wouldn't want to trade another first.

He's actually an extremely good 1RD , and his contract is even better. He'll cost a lot, and let's face it, Liljegren is probably a bust.

Sheldon Keefe said after the playoffs, that ever since Liljegren came back from injury around Christmas, he was their most reliable defenceman. Sandin was great as well but he still needs to work on his defensive play. Personally I think Liljegren is going to be a different player than people thought he'd be. I am not sure he's going to be an offensive Juggernaut. I think he's going to be a guy that plays a tonne of minutes, is physical at times and can out skate most dangerous situations. I would love to see him with Rielly in the near future, Rielly can do all the fancy stuff and Liljegren can be like Stralhman.
