Highly doubt it's Brown as the other piece in the deal. Likely a prospect or pick. Brown will be relied upon as the Lwafs best PK guy and shipping him there too kinda negates the idea of Toronto paying the signing bonus to Zaitsev

Just realized Sens are under the cap considering the Leafs are paying his signing bonus, but this was mostly made for the trade anyway.

paying the bonus doesn't have any impact on the cap....it's the AAV that matters for cap...ownership simply saves the coin of paying the bonus
