Description

The Panthers can invest about $20 million into Bobrovsky and Panarin, but even so, they do not look like a cup contender on paper. I grant you that the Panthers' top six would be very talented, and they would have a great goaltender, but I am not as impressed with the rest of the lineup. You could call me crazy, but I think they are better off investing in their blue line, and signing many solid players to fill holes, as opposed to investing a quarter of the cap in two outstanding players.

You're analysis is correct. Folks pay for past performance. Last year 17th in GAA and 21 in Save % (for qualified goalies). That will a defence CapFriendly folks think have some outstanding Dmen. At age 30 , Bob has one playoff round victory.(last year). The UFA madness might just continue.

Your team looks good! Do need an upgrade on the RD but you can do that next year. They may not be cup contenders this year, but could be next year. And that team definitely makes the playoffs.

My entire point is that it probably is not worth it to Florida from a hockey standpoint. Maybe they'll sell more tickets, but I do not think they are going to win a cup. Their blue line is not very good, and they'll have to try to re-sign Hoffman and Dadonov, and they'll want more money. This is a first or second round exit team, and I think it would behoove them not to invest $20 million in Bob and Panarin.

I get your points and that is certainly an avenue too be explored you should do another acgm where you don't get either or 1 of them which personally i think you only get Bob but panarin would make it sting less if u loose Hoffman or trade him now for a good return to a team that tbinks they can sign him long term plus i think dadanov would sign for less to play with Breadman but i get your point only time will tell
