The truly sad part about this is that the Times has two good beat reporters (Helene Elliott and I forget the gentleman's name) who are consistently good and one guy who covers hockey part-time (Curtis Zupke) who is also usually pretty good, so why they had to stoop to grabbing something off the wire at the last minute is simply editorial malpractice. If Ms. Elliott is on vacation or in France at the WWC, then she could have phoned something in from memory that would have been better. Hell, they could have asked ME.
