No. Ehlers' value is not as high as you think.

If the Canes are moving a RD, it would likely be Hamilton. Besides that, with their current cap situation, WPG will likely lose any trade involving Ehlers

I would do Connor for Pesce, in fact I might prefer that depending on Connor's contract demands. I think we also add Pionk to Ehlers/Connor for Pesce trade.

I think Carolina is like us and too much at risk without a RHD coming back if the return is Pesce as Faulk and TVR are both a year from UFA and Hamilton is 2 years away. You have a bunch of studs coming on the left side with Slavin, Bean, Fleury and De Haan so that can be your strength moving forward but having team control over a player like Pionk means that you only need to keep either Faulk or TVR and you'll still be fine.

Jets add a prospect Center from Manitoba and upgrade about 20 spots in the draft. We both get a high end player in a position of need (on a value contract with Ehlers, probably not on a value contract with Connor).

Pesce's value is higher than Ehlers'. If you wanted to do Ehlers + something for Pesce, it could work. However, if you wanted Faulk, it would either be 1 for 1 or Faulk + 4th or something. Faulk's value is high right now and Ehlers' is a bit low.

You keep adding to, and I’ll keep saying no. The reality, Faulk is the RHD who the Canes would be enticed to move. If we had to add to get Ehlers, great. If not, then there isn’t a real motivation to do a deal.

Faulk probably has WPG on his no trade list but i could see Hamilton traded as well
