Why would they ever do this. Pasta puts up the same points as Seguin and is younger, not to mention Krejci put up 73 pts last year just shy of what Seguin put up. Makes no sense for Boston to do that.

Only reason Boston should considering doing it is who is your center when Krejci and bergy are gone. Boom it’s seguin or you don’t have one. Centers more important than wingers. It’s a now/future move

They are definitely in win now mode. When Bergeron and Krejci are gone they currently only have Studnika, Coyle Possibly and Frederick to replace them. They definitely need to draft more centers. But when Krejci and Bergeron are gone in say 2-3 years so will Rask, Marchand will be on the way out. The only guys they will have left are Debrusk, McAvoy, Carlo, Grez and Pasta. Pasta being the best of the bunch. They will probably be in rebuild mode then.

But that trade for Seguin now doesn't make Boston a whole lot better and puts them in a worst cap situation. I would rather have Krejci and Pasta right now then Seguin by him self.

Wings not trading Mantha fro Krug and Ceblarik.

Yzerman has stated he is not trading Larkin, Mantha, Bertuzzi, Hronek, Anthanisou and Cholowski.

Krug is a good defenseman but Wings are not in the right position to make such a deal. Mantha 's development is progressing and he could turn into a top power forward.
