Like the Sens deal. Keep the 5th though.

Backes for Shatty straight up maybe. Otherwise...no.

So, I know you’re not a bruins fan, but this is, well, pretty off.
You picked the only terms that McAvoy and Carlo and guaranteed not to sign, as both bring them directly to ufa without buying out any ufa years. Literally anything other than 4 and 5 years respectively is possible.
The shattenkirk trade is terrible, grizz is their best 5 on 5 left shot d. He’s not moving.

I would stop being a bruins fan if they did this.

I can see why you wouldnt like the shattenkirk trade but keep in ind there is only 2 years left on his contract and he has proven that he is capable of putting up 40+ point seasons! Just hasnt done it in the last 2 years so his value has decreased so BOS might be able to get away with trading a backes (only 2 years left) a good prospect in bjork and a proven top 6 D in Grezlyck!

Why don't the Sens take him? This playoff should have told us we need to add size on the backend not more turnover machines like Sh_tty.

Grzelcyk is proven. He has been an NHL d man for two years now. So much so he went from 16+m to 19+m from season 1 to season 2. He is pretty proven at this point. In 129 his corsi and fenwick are 53 & 53.6 respectively. He also went from 54% Ozone starts to 50% which tells me they have no issues with him whatsoever. They would be better off buying out Backes' or trading him once his real money decreases (7/1).


Grzelcyk is better than Shattenkirk by a lot. Shattenkirk's contract may actually be worse than Backes' & you get a good prospect & Pick? - Bjork, who despite people being low on him (Boston fans) has made the team for two years out of camp and was paired with Bergeron and Marchand. He just can't stay healthy. Hopefully that is not the case moving forward...
