Subban trade is stupid. But Detroit also declines that trade. Glendening is a great penalty kill guy who had 21 points last season and cost us under $650k. Eller had 26 points last season and costs $3.5M. Keep him, especially if you want Detroit to throw in a 2nd round pick. Detroit doesn't want any more over paid players, they have enough. Compare the last two seasons for these guys side by side. Glendening has better shooting percentage, faceoff percentage, hits, blocked shots. Glendening is plus 9 over the last two years with 1113 faceoffs won, Eller has -19 & 612 FO wins. Detroit will resign Glendening after this season for $1.5M. Detroit has no need for Eller. If this was a possibility, Montreal would be sending Eller and a 2nd round pick for Glendening alone.

The worst trade is the Florida trade.....good winger and good Dman traded for 1 year of a 3rd liner and goalie who had a poor year year in the AHL.
