That is not a good trade...for taking so much cap back from TOR, you need a lot more than Kadri, a defensive prospect and few seconds.

This trade takes the Canes from one of the best defensive teams in the league to a mediocre one.

Kardi wouldn't be a 2C in carolina either. That's if he can even manage to play without getting suspended. He's one bad move from being done for a long time.
Marleau is a pure cap dump. Which I guess Carolina has to pay for the privilege of taking?
Zaitsev is another cap dump. I mean really the top 3 pieces here would mean you are paying the prospect and picks alone just to get them to take them. Don't expect a return.

Take out Holl, add Hollowell + Bracco.
Hollowell just got the 1st team OHL for a RHD, Bracco 2nd in AHL scoring at a young age. Way more value than Holl.
