That is quite a bit for Kakko. As a Detroit fan I'd like to think Rasmussen and Cholowski will be good players but that is a big risk when trading away the #2OA and all you need is one of those players to be bad for most fans to think it a bad trade. Hypothetically that is.

Kakko or Hughes are high potential franchise players. Not seeing one in the Det package. You don’t trade 4 quarters for a Dollar in today’s NHL.

You'd have to make a ridiculous overpayment to get that pick. Since 2005, no team has traded a top 4 pick. They're just too valuable, especially when you luck into them with the lottery
