Why no to the Ottawa trade? They'll definitely be looking to try to move Backes this summer.

Bcarlo what are you thinking for Carlo? His value is going up a lot during these playoffs. Do you think they'll either have to do a 3 year or something more like 6/7 yr.

McAvoy already said he won’t sign long term

Carlo deal takes him to UFA without any RFA years

Heinen doesn’t sign for that little. Around 2.4ish

Too much money and term for Mojo. Don’t see him returning to Boston

Backes doesn’t waive NMC for OTT

Might as well just let acciari and avoid the unnecessary 1mil of dead cap

McAvoy hasn't said that he won't sign long term. It is suspected that he wants a bridge deal.

4 years and that price for MoJo is exactly what he is expected to sign for and he Heinen and Coyle have developed good chemistry and I don't see why he wouldn't come back to Boston.

and why let Acciari walk? don't need a 13th forward anymore?

Bob McKenzie revealed that McAvoy already turned down a long-term extension and said he wants to bet on himself (so yes take a bridge deal) instead of signing long term.

I know that’s what he’s expected to get which is why I don’t want the bruins to bring him back for that. They have guys who they already planned to take that spot. Coyle will probably be gone before mojo’s 4 years are up. Besides, $4.7m is way too much for a guy who’s head is made out of glass. I like mojo, but I can’t see the bruins brining him back for more than 2 years, and I also can’t see him taking an offer less than 5, leaving a deadlock in the bruins-Mojo talks.

Yes, they need a 13th forward, but for 1mil? Why not:

A. Sign someone else for 750k
B. Call someone up from the AHL when needed

A - it sucks

B- Backes still has an NTC - he is not waiving if for Ottawa.
