Kadri to the Yotes makes a lot of sense to me. I doubt they'd move Hayton though. Kid has the potential to be a stud, and they've got a ton of cheap control over him. They skipped over a number of higher ranked prospects at the time to grab him.

I wonder if they'd do something like Crouse+2nd for Kadri? Would open up a few dollars for you, adds a gritty player and you can get something OK-ish in the 2nd round.

Leafs need about 6.5m in cap, so the original trade is good in that aspect for the Leafs. But teams don't tend to try a # 5 pick overall after one season. If the Coyotes want instant gratification...maybe take a chance of 7m cap hit Nylander with 4.9m annual payout for five. years. For cap reasons, Leafs take prospects and picks. I don't think the Leafs are getting much in return comparing to my other Leaf fanatics.
