The Cap is going up to ~$82M next season, and David Clarkson will be on LTIR the entire season. Without Karlsson signed, they have ~$4.5M in cap space, still needing a backup goalie and a few healthy scratches. They're by no means in Cap Hell, especially considering none of those guys are past their prime. Just need a couple small moves like moving out Haula or Miller. Or McPhee could make another blockbuster...

Haula and Eakin will both be moved most likely. That’s an extra 6.5 million right there. They need to make room for Cody Glass to play 3C anyways. Not to mention the cap is going up to 82 million. And Clarkson will be on the LTIR. It isn’t rocket science, they’ll be okay. You aren’t getting their 1st line center for Sergachev, lol.

For all the 4th graders out there .. Tampa has about $10M in 2019 with $83M cap .. whereas Vegas is now over or slightly under but with only 16 players .. so 3 to 4 trades for picks is approach .. I still question Karlsson .. he is RFA and must be pissed every other. Vegas guy got fat extensions and he didn't.. why? .. and how will they afford paying him $7M or whatever more? .. with above moves and need to fill roster slots.. I still dont see math for 2019 .
