Description
I can see the flyers calling up WPG, both teams need a small retool.... Could this happen? I saw it somewhere and I think it would make sense for both teams.... plus some UFA's that would make sense

Looks fair from a Flyers fan's perspective. Jets might want someone else other than Hagg. Morin or Gudas instead.

Your signing values are a bit off on some of these guys too, Laughton, Brassard and Sanheim want more.

The ask would be Sanheim. Nothing less than him would make the deal worthwhile from from a Jets standpoint in my opinion. Trade would obviously need to get re worked in terms of each teams offer.

Trouba isn’t staying in WPG, and everyone on earth knows it, so his value takes a big hit. Sanheim straight up would be an overpay let alone adding to him.

Blah blah blah rumours rumours rumours. He’s unhappy, he’d only accept trades to Florida Detroit or Rangers. His dad can’t get in the country cause he’s got a criminal record... Heard it all before. Until the day he’s traded or walks as an FA next summer. He’s still a Jet. In terms of hurting his value. You have a 25 year old #1 RHD who just scored 50 points. In his prime no less and you’re gonna sit here and tell me that his value takes a hit because he doesn’t want to play in Winnipeg. “He’ll walk next summer” excuse doesn’t work. Teams should be chomping at the big to try and acquire him to get him for a year to try and convince him to stay. San Jose just paid Ottawa. 2 conditional 1sts and a conditional 2nd along with 4 assets to get Karlsson for a year and to try and convince him to stay long term. Now I’m not saying Trouba’s Karlsson. But come on to say that his value takes a big hit... give your head a shake.

Sorry but the guy is signing 1 year deals to get out of Winnipeg as fast as possible. He IS going to walk after next year and he has certain teams in mind. So his value absolutely takes a hit. Reality sucks but it is what it is.

There will be enough teams competing to get Trouba that his value won’t drop. Trouba’s value is higher than Sandheim’s.

I highly doubt there will be.

Yeah gonna agree to disagree. Have your opinion, I have mine. Respectfully gonna end it. Since we’ll just go round and round and disagree. All the best to your Flyers.

A 25 year old first pairing shut down guy who puts up 50 points when the only time he saw on the power play all year was for a month when Byfuglien went down. Yeah there’s plenty of interest. You’re interested in seeing your team get him...

The trade wouldn’t work. Philly would have to add better players, the Jets strength is depth, don’t need quantity, rather quality

You forgot the most important part...he will be a UFA next year and has a small list of teams he would sign with. No team is going to gamble what you want for the possibility he walks.

Yeah I bet he resigns and gets traded or doesn’t get traded at all. Two comments below yours is a Devils fan that wants him too.

And the powerplay sucked the whole time Trouba was on it... Lol
I think they'll get something decent for Trouba but it won't be as good a return as Jets fans think it should be, I hope Chevy trades Trouba ASAP.

You are missing the point. Sure teams want him but they aren’t going to risk their future for a few months of a guy who wants to hit free agency.

I’m not missing anything, you have to give to get. If the Flyers don’t pay, someone else will or Chevy will just give him the money he wants, the kid just wants to get paid. But what do we know? We’ll find out this summer

The thing is that he doesn’t just want to get paid. He wants out of Canada. I bet he stays with the Jets next year then walks on into free agency and likely ends up with Stevey Y in Detroit at a cost of nothing to Detroit and a huge loss to WPG. That is unless WPG let’s him go for a discount and actually gets something of use.

Honestly, from a guy that doesn't like neither of those teams... I think it is the Flyers that overpay in this situation. Imagine Nolan Patrick and a 1st for Connor, it makes sense, and Trouba (who wants to leave) for Ghost, Hagg and 2nd ? I would say yes as If I were a Jets fan.
