Montreal isn't trading their 1st round pick for two AHL players.
Sikura is a 22 year old with positive possession numbers who's been great in the AHL and seen limited action in the NHL. Forsling is a 5/6D - and you're just trading down from the first to a second.

Trade a number 3 overall pick for a failed defenseman and some throw ins? Are you high?
Hanifin is 22 and has gotten better every year he's been in the NHL. He had an xGF/GA of +9.2 taking primarily dZS this year, while logging a 52.8% CF. He also averaged 20+ minutes of ice time as a 22 year old on a very good team. Parsons is also a very good G prospect. If you think it's unbalanced, you could throw in a higher pick from CGY to balance (2nd Rd?).
Sure, Hanifin isn't Heiskanen or Dahlin, but he's a 3/4 NHL defenseman who still has the ceiling of a 1/2, and he makes the Hawks much better next year than any pick does. Unless you think you're trading for a Werenski/McAvoy, etc., I'm not sure where you get more value than that.
I'm not necessarily advocating trading that pick (I prefer taking Byram or Cozens, and trading away certain prospects), but I'm using AGM to explore options.
