Cozens and Knight are the guys I want them to draft too, don't think Pavelski is very realistic on either side. He'll probably want to stay in San Jose and if they're gonna sign someone of that caliber it'll be a younger guy who they can keep around for awhile. Eberle seems very realistic though. Francouz is gonna be the backup if they bring him back, Kinkaid doesn't make sense. Nemeth isn't coming back either, there's no place for him in the top 6 unless there's a Barrie trade and even then he'd be blocking Graves and Timmins, and he can probably get a top 6 role somewhere else. Personally I'd like to keep Compher unless it's to make room for a top UFA.

I don't see Detroit giving up a 2nd for those guys maybe 2020 4th & 6th. Those players are probably worth more to a different team. For a team rebuilding the picks are worth much more to Detroit.

Feedback: I think the value of the trade is good and you could get a 2nd and a 6th for those players. But for the reasons above Detroit isn't the team for that deal.

Killer response! I am still iffy on Francouz being an NHL backup. I would LOVE for that to work out because buddy deserves it. But he's only played 2 games. Even if we could see him in 5 - 8 gp I'd be a bit more convinced. Pavelski is a push I know, I'd just like someone who has that level of leadership, poise, compete level and talent because Colorado could use some experience on its very young team. Also, I was playing with a SJ armchair, and they have so many people who are getting pay raises, especially if they're keeping Karlsson (He, Burns or Couture could be the next C), so maybe Pavelski may be one of the people out. The Compher trade was to make room for Pavelski. He is a good penalty killer so if we don't get more than just an Eberle type in UFA, hell yeah keep him. I have an unpopular opinion that Kinkaid is a Kuemper/Domingue type who can play long periods of time if a goalie is hurt and I believe he is better than he is showing this season. It is a gamble though.

I prefer Dach to Cozens myself, I wouldn’t be surprised if Turcotte gets a little buzz too as a potential pick. But I think the Avs would like Dach or Cozens a little bit more than Turcotte as they can go to camp and compete for a job immediately
