Description
Not 100% sure on trade value. All deals work from Edmonton's perspective, and seem to work for the other teams as well.

Florida: Florida moves up in the draft while saving some cap space for Panarin/Bob. Would hurt to lose Trocheck, but this seems like an ok package that could benefit both teams.
NYR: Rangers have the cap space and ability to spend to the cap to take on Lucic. Yamamoto is the big reward for NY, with a small upgrade in picks.
Los Angeles: Todd Mclellan loves him some Kris Russell. Doesn't need to be Iafallo, just anyone who can provide reasonable offensive depth.
Carolina: Not sure if Carolina agrees to this. Edmonton can't offer much in the way of offensive help for Carolina, but they save some $ plus get a 1st round pick and depth scoring.

Unfortunately there's no way you can justify any of these as "helps both teams". These help EDM more than they do the other teams.

Fair, but could you give some reasoning as to why? I look at these trades and see value going both directions. I'll admit I don't really have a good idea on other teams needs moving forward.

Panthers trade: Trochek is a very good top 6 forward and moving up 5 spots, a 3rd pairing defensemen, and a C prospects is simply not enough. You would need to replace the prospect with someone much better (maksimov) and would need to throw in your 2019 2nd. Trocheck and 8OA for 13OA, benning, Maksimov, and a 2nd.

NYR trade: Makes sense but moving Lucic is more than a dream at this point. NY would never make that commitment, even for yammamoto.

LA trade: LA does not have a lot of cap space and is old. Taking on more cap and an older player is the opposite of what they should be doing. LA should also try to turn the ship around fast as Doughty is only getting older. Russel is also a cap dump (negative value) and will not get a young roster player. You will need to add something enticing here. LA will also be on his NTC list. Try MTL though they will ask for a LD or Puju

Carolina trade: Pesce is developing into a top pairing defencemen and he is already a steal of a contract. For perspective, Toronto fans offer Kapanen, a mix of propsects, and a 2nd or 1st round pick. It will take way more. You could Hamilton out easier than Pesce anyway since they don't want to send him packing

I think arafay did a well enough job explaining. Moving up in the draft from 13th to 8th is definitely going to cost you but Trocheck is a top notch player. Many of the players available in the draft can only hope to reach where Trocheck currently is already at. Benning has some decent value, maybe a 3rd rounder at best and Marino well frankly I have never even heard of before. I don't claim to be the holiness of all hockey knowledge but its rare I see a name I've never seen before.
