It would look even better with Wennberg traded, Dubi bought out, Dzingel signed for top line LW, and Foudy / Bemstrom out there instead of Hannaikainan & Dalpe.

How would trading Wennberg be better? He’s fairly young and even though he isn’t putting up points he’s still a good player. Why buy out Dubinsky? He’s a leader and a great 4th liner who’s overpaid. Why bring them up and sit them on the 4th line or make them a healthy scratch and ruin their development.

Jones alone knocks this trade down to maybe 1 st round pick added and that's it.
Dubois and Jones in itself is a massive overpayment without even including the rest.

Dubois was a top 3 pick and he plays like it. He's at like 60 points in his second year. He's a quality top line center.
Jones is a 1RHD that's a really good player. Both are young. Both cost less than McJesus.

Edmonton fans have some serious over inflated valuation of McDavid. You would be lucky if you get even one player of their quality back, because if he's being traded they will be in a position of no leverage and no one is going to help them out. Star players never get an equal value in return on a trade.

Thanks for the input... also I’m not an Edmonton fan. Been a CBJ forever. The thing about keeping what do is that next year it would be hard/impossible to keep PLD and Anderson with McDavid. And we are just under the cap as is. I guess I could remove Russel and Jones if that makes it better but it would also put us right at if not over the cap.

so buy out dubinski or something. You aren't just going to give away PLD.

That could be an option for next season.
