Trade for a solid 3C- good two way game and good at faceoffs

Draft pick replaces Tage Thompson

We wouldn't be able to recoup Risto's value so trading him is pointless

Fingers crossed we can re-sign Skinner so we aren't set back another year

Might be a hot take, but let Lukkonnen compete for a goalie spot... I find it hard to believe he would be worse than both Ullmark and Hutton

On paper, with a coach that can get this team playing at their highest potential, this is a playoff team

You need more than you think .. buffalo lacks leadership and a 3rd line .. worst thing you can do is overpay skinner .. trade for 2 to 3 quality guys and get playoff winners into a perrineal losing program before you will sniff playoffs.

As a Blues fan I'm so glad we dumped Thompson on Buffalo. I was never a fan of that pick and wanted tge Blues to take Howden instead who has more points in 40 fewer games.

Your roster construction doesn’t really work though
None of those lines are capable of playing heavy defensive minutes
You need at least 1 line that can do that

What’s the point of that???

Well no. A guy like Namestnikov can play all over the lineup. If you have a coach like a Gronborg that like to have threats on four lines that can work and then late in the game, you put him on the top six lines on the wings. A guy with that kind of versatility is nice to have around and I don’t really want him on the 4c....I want him to compete for a higher position on the roster.

I don’t see that making much sense
We don’t have the 2way players to have offensive threats on EVERY line

Our 4th line should be our defensive line
Top3 Lines can be scoring units
