That’s fair although they do have 33+M in cap space next year so they could make it work possibly.

Who would you target from NJ? I like severson but I doubt they would deal him for zaitsev

That’s because the coach doesn’t play him in all situations like he should. Point is Zaitsev isn’t an upgrade but cost way more so Cats should just keep Weegar unless Leafs are willing to sweeten the deal which they won’t

That’s an accurate analysis. The upgrade likely isn’t there for Florida unless they saw something they liked in Zaitsev. Leafs may be willing to add a minor prospect or late pick to make it happen

Yeah but that would be using logic........... Kosterjr doesn't utilize logic. Only bias. I'm not saying Florida should accept this trade but saying he's their best dman is the only thing will have people laughing.....
