Description
just messing around with the rest of the stuff. Not really expecting anyone to say Allen trade would go through. Because I don't even think that would go through. So Don't get mad at me because of it lol. Same with the Steen trade even tho I think he would waive.

I did. Just saying that Toronto isn't an option for it. Pick a better suited option for the idea

Idk I don't want him to go, but I don't know if Armstrong wants to do any other options. I love Perron, but idk who else to give that isn't valuable.

Toronto will be an option when it comes down to when they lose a lot the players they can use him for third line. Dubas being as what he has decided to get leadership. Steen is a great option for that.

Not at $4M he's not for a third line.. Toronto can get cheap veterans if they need leadership. Not $4M for a 3rd liner that takes away a good chunk of cap space for their better players

i don't think you are weighing in what he does as a player. He has done exceptional at times. 4 Million is worth the price especially when you have Kadri getting paid 4.5M as a third liner.

Also less years. 9M is the max for a 7-8 Year deal, but I put it at 5 Year deal which is way less which makes it to 8.5M

& Toronto is going into a cap crunch.. they don't need another 3rd liner getting paid $4M. That takes away from the better players salary. Trevor Moore can do the same thing that Steen does and Moore costs $775K.. the leadership is fine. Tavares. Rielly. Matthews. Marleau. Hainsey can be brought back on a cheap deal. .. there's no need to add another $4M in salary when they don't have to

You will be getting rid of that cap soon enough you won't have enough to sign everyone.

I wouldn't doubt it, but again 5 Years is not 7-8 Years, and he will be with Tarasenko which is one of his better friends on a championship contending team. I don't see why this is "Big Underpay" in most people's opinion. It is a less year deal which means less money.

I don't see him accepting a shorter deal. He's 27. He'll end up with less money if he signs a 5 year deal now, cuz when his deal ends he's going to be 32, and then he won't be getting that big contract.
He should go for maximum 7 year deal to get the maximum money.

But again is it about money, or is it about winning a cup is the big question. And he is making 8.5M in this deal which is literally not that much of a difference 2M. He is still a millionaire either way. It shouldn't matter now he should just worry about cups.

The picture I've gotten is that money is almost as important to him as being successful. That's why it's rumored he wants to play in a big city, too. Like New York or Florida. It seems he's after some sort of "jet set lifestyle."

It really depends on if he wants good chemistry and a cup chance or just money and F**k getting the cup.

If Binnington is legit, its huge for STL who IMO have kinda struggled to find consistency in the goaltending position and honestly its probably the position that cost them a cup run. Binnington also helped me win my fantasy hockey pool smile

Move Panarin to second line, keep Schenn on the first. Trade Schwartz for LD if you want Panarin on the team.
