Huberdeau is not dog door and is as good or better than any of Tavares line mates before this year. Tavares is a better offensive player than Barkov. Until this year Barkov was a significant step back on Tavares offensively.

That being said Barkov is a significant amount better defensively.

Regardless there is no comparison in value with Barkov being younger and cheaper

I think both of them are great players. Who is better doesn't really matter to me. But whoever you think is better it isn't by much.

Tavares ppg .95: p/60 3.56

Barkov ppg .83: p/60 3.09

Defense matters to other teams. Barkov is a lot better than Tavares defensively. We should also look at age and cap hit. Barkov has tavares beat in those categories and it's not even close.
